Set the desktop wallpaper of your Microsoft Windows system to a plain blue color and display information about your system.
A lightweight and portable utility that will change the desktop wallpaper of your Microsoft Windows system to a plain blue color (FF00499C) and add information about your system. Useful for VDI or servers, giving a visual cue to ensure that system administrators are on the correct server before patching or rebooting it!
The information displayed is:
- Computer Name
- the user name and the Domain name
- the operating system version, 64-bit if applicable, and the service pack level
- a list of up to 5 IP addresses
How to use
Set Wallpaper is a lightweight, portable application. It does not need to be installed, just download the executable to a location of your choice, and launch the executable.
There are no extra dependencies, and the application does not rely on heavy frameworks such as the .NET framework.
If you no longer need this application, just close the application and delete the executable, there is nothing to uninstall.
If you want this application to run automatically every time you start your computer, just create a shortcut to the executable (or copy the executable itself) in the Windows startup folder, and you are done.
